I arrived to the Hotel and was plesantly surprised to say the least. These days, you dont get much for your money, especially in London. Times are hard and I have a budget for my travel that I have to stick too so i am used to staying in "budget" Hotels. However, Anthea did not fall into this category. Firstly, the reception was beautiful; pristine white walls and chandeliers everywhere. My room was clean and modern; you can tell alot of hardwork has been put into the decor of this Hotel. A nicely sized bathroom with lots of lovely toiletries, fluffy towels and a powerful shower. On top of all this, a breakfast was included, an excellent range of continental items but a few hot items too. I honestly cannot fault this place, I hope they continue to keep their prices low so that I can continue to stay here for all future visits to London, excellent value, a big thumbs up from me.

Newly renovated, little hotel with outstandingly accommodating staff. A huge variety of options for good breakfast. Marvellous location close to Caledonian Park Tower. A tube station close to the venue. Honestly no complaints.

The hotel was very central near to Kings Cross. It is a new hotel and therefore very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and carried our case up to the room. The bed was one of the best I have ever slept in and the pillow was very good. It was a freezing cold night and the central heating kept the room very warm. We had to leave early before the dinning room opened but the staff told us to go in anyway and they served us breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will certainly be staying there again next time I go to London.
It was all very good. No complaints whatsoever.

The hotel was clean and the room a decent size. The breakfast was adequate; there were only two choices of cereal and although yoghurt was specified, there wasn't any. The location is brilliant and the price very competitive for such a central location. We will definitely stay again.

Very nice clean room. Excellent staff. Very good continental breakfast
There is no lift and we were on the 4th floor-got the lungs working though!

The hotel is clean and located in a nice building near Emirates Stadium, Pentonville Prison, and close to both subway and bus stations. the staff members are very nice, and the rooms are reasonably spacious and soundproof. Good value for money with tea/coffee provided. the location is excellent, unbeatable, and very close to the underground.

Room too small and cramped. As bed was so close to wardrobe one would frequently hit one's knee against stick-out leg on end of bed in attempting to get past. Lower window lock broken and a potential hazard. If one tripped on bedleg and fell against it with force the consequences don't bear thinking about. Street noise from early morning on was unbearable and a total nuisance - windows with triple glazing are required. A lounge/bar with food available is badly needed as the surrounding neighbourhood is sadly lacking in them. Overall the hotel could do with a total revamp - it looks tired and jaded! For what you get the price should be much lower.

The breakfast was great and the place was fairly clean. the room was a nice size and airy with value for money. - the hotel was recently refurbished and in a central location. - We had goodies and coffee at the Breakout, it was located a couple of blocks away from the venue. Rewritten: The breakfast at Hotel Makedonia was fantastic, and the place was quite clean. Our room was pleasantly spacious and had a nice airy feel, offering great value for the price. the hotel had been recently refurbished and was conveniently located in the heart of the city. We enjoyed some delicious goodies and coffee at the Breakout, just a short walk from the hotel.

The stuff are quite nice and they will try their best to solve your problem. The Breadfast is good here.
A little bit expensive. Because it is just beside the traffic road, it is sometimes noisy outside.
